Symptom:
If a tris goes all the way up — but only goes down to a certain point and then get's stuck — it could be because a tris slat is not aligned properly in the tris box. |

Let's begin |

| 1 | Take off the cover to the tris box. | ||

| First, hold the tris in position by inserting a screwdriver in one of the middle holes of the tris. | Pull tris strap off of the spring and make a slip knot to keep the spring from taking back in the strap. |

| Many times it is difficult to push or pull the slats.
One tip when aligning slats is: with one hand gentle pull up and down on the tris strap (to make the tris slightly go up and down) while …. |

with the other hand you try to push the slat. On a long tris — when pushing the left side of the slat, you won't be able to reach the tris strap. But still (even if you are doing this repair alone) you can make the tris go up and down with your right hand pulling and pushing on top of the roll of slats around the tris bar. |
